About Me
My name is Ben and woodworking has been a passion of mine for over a decade, with a particular focus on traditional hand-tool joinery and handmade furniture.
What started largely as a hobby and later developed through practical experience in and around the woodworking industry, I have been able to build and refine my own work. I have always been especially drawn to the traditional side of the craft; sizing timber, cutting joints, shaping and finishing components by hand, a level of control and character that is difficult to replicate through mass production.
Crandon Fine Furniture is the next step in my journey: an opportunity to branch out independently and create handmade bespoke furniture and one-off commissions.
I favour traditional hand tools production, combining them with modern machinery only where it makes sense. My aim is not simply to produce furniture, but to make pieces with care, attention to detail and a strong understanding of the material.
From dovetailed drawers and cabinetry to tables, shelving, and storage, each project is approached as a piece in its own right, designed for the space, made by hand and built to last.
